Hoping to make a statement about litter, Iran’s tourism industry executives have made a plan to build a hotel made entirely from garbage on Iran’s Hormuz Island, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Environmental degradation is an issue on the island because visitors leave large amounts of refuse on the island, which has nowhere to go. »The pilot project will begin from mid-March on Hormoz Island and in the meantime, we will try to gather the island residents to help us with collecting rubbish and turning it into special structures for building a resort, » resort executive Amin Davaei told Mehr.
The plan is to build the hotel entirely from trash on the island, which is known for its natural beauty.
« We have also cooperated with tourism activists on the island. Our purpose in doing so is to collect garbage from the beach and raise awareness about the environment, » Davael said.
